The Beginning ...
|
 |
Once upon a time, in a
small "log cabin", far, far away ... it
began.
Sorry, no such luck! |
I have no dramatic
story to tell about why, or how, I started Deborah's
Designs -- but doesn't the
picture just have the start of a quilt design in it?
We took the picture while on vacation in Montana last
summer.
Anyways, so you'll know a little bit about me . . . |
 |
 |
My husband,
Larry, & I moved to Tucson in 1999 with our, then,
three year old lab/terrier mix, Preston. It was a fun
move — we love new adventures and we love the
desert. |
| I started
quilt making & eventually went to work at Cactus
Quilt Shop. Not getting enough “quilting” at work,
I started doodling & drawing in addition to making
quilts almost non stop (to date, I've completed 150
quilts & have 30-40 UFOs). I’ve always wanted to
have my own business & finally, deciding it was
now or never; I left the quilt shop & went
seriously to work at home and, on April 1, 2006, I
launched Deborah's
Designs. |

Not having
enough to do with the launching of a new business, we
enlarged our “family” the same week with the
addition of six week old basset/beagle pup, Abby. Yes,
we are doing night time “potty” breaks, feedings
and teething all over again. |
Seriously, all jokes aside, I am thrilled to be able to bring
you
Deborah’s Designs.
I am committed to designing patterns which, I believe, are
relevant to today’s quilters — traditional blocks; tried
& true, whimsical & fun appliqué & lots of tips
& tricks to make your quilts special.
Remember, my patterns are . . .
